Media Events devised the Garden Press Event after conversations with Richard Jackson of the Garden Media Guild. Journalists talked about the difficulty they often experienced at Trade Shows in having conversations with the right people. At the same time (around 12 years ago) some of the larger Garden companies had stopped doing their own Press Events. From this conversation the First Garden Press Event was born in February 2006, we had 63 Garden related Exhibitors and around 130 visitors from the Garden Media. From this the Event has grown to 280+ Garden Media professionals and 100+ exhibitors. We have been asked many times about applying the same idea to other markets.
